Bald Eagle Nesting Habitat Improves Juniper thinning is a bald eagle nesting habitat enhancement project. Areas adjacent to wetlands are thinned of Junipers, leaving the desirable Ponderosa Pine (Pinus ponderosa) for bald eagle nesting habitat. This project will also reduce fuels to help fireproof stands, preventing catastrophic wildfires in the watershed.
