Sidney Smith and Marty Yamagiwa explain the effects of the Blue Fire that occurred in August 2001 in the Modoc National Forest. |
The fire was extremely hot, and had destroyed many of the aspen and conifer species present. The aspens have dramatically regenerated by the fire.
